Testimonials

Trish - August 2020
I’m so glad Heather was recommended to us! She has a tremendous talent for teaching and it shows in the progress Lauren has made in just one year. She has the knowledge, passion, patience and sense of humour to make complex music lessons understandable while still making it fun! During COVID–19, she didn’t miss a beat and quickly adapted to provide us with virtual lessons. She’s wonderful!
Karen Linton - August 2020
Our son Marques has been taking piano lessons with Heather Pendock for the past 5 years.
Heather:
  • is patient, encouraging, and extremely knowledgeable
  • dedicated, supportive, and devoted
  • never makes Marques feel bad when he makes mistakes or finds a technique challenging
  • went above and beyond to support Marques through the Conservatory Exam
  • builds our son’s confidence and gives him exactly what he needs
  • knows when to push Marques and also when to step back
  • sets high standards of achievement and accountability for Marques
Heather consistently provided a positive, nurturing, learning environment for our son. During Covid 19, we moved to virtual learning and our son did extremely well with this learning style. Instead of 1 lesson of 30 minutes per week, we had 2 shorter lessons each week. This kept our son engaged and also willing to work on his technique between each lesson. I would highly recommend children to try this virtual learning experience with Heather because at first we were not sure of how it would go. However, much to our surprise, it turned out to be a wonderful experience for him. He was able to continue his full year of lessons and he successfully completed his Virtual Conservatory Exam with her instruction.

"Heather provides a non-threatening, supportive environment and encourages her students to explore their musical talent. She adapts to the needs of each individual, and has managed to capture the attention and commitment of my eight-year-old daughter for over two years…Jayden eagerly awaits her weekly sessions! Heather is a warm, inspiring teacher, and she provides lessons that are encouraging and motivating for her students. She is a gem, and we are very grateful to have found such a wonderful teacher!"

Studio Policy

Fees: Due in quarterly payments in blocks of 10 generally totaling between 36 and 38 lessons in a year. If this is not possible another payment option will be discussed.

Studio Policy: All lessons will be charged excluding:

1. Lessons falling on a statutory holiday;
2. March break (one week) and Christmas holiday.

Lessons missed may be made up at the teacher’s discretion at a mutually convenient time not exceeding three lessons in the year, except for extended illness.

Examinations in both disciplines may be taken with the Royal Conservatory of Music. Opportunities to participate in festivals, competitions and an annual recital in June are also available.

Daily practice and good attendance at lessons are a must for satisfactory progress. A regular practice time every day usually works best!
